We recently organised phase one of our Hip hop project at Girls Club (Thursday’s 6-8pm, run by Active Communities Network), kindly funded by the Neighbourhood Fund and the Change Makers Grant and delivered by Hip Hopera Foundation. The evaluation found that 100% of participants rated the programme Excellent or Good; 86% were very or quite excited to attend each week; 86% feel more confident creatively; 100% felt empowered or more positive; 100% felt supported and safe; and there is a strong interest in continuing hip hop activities in future. Phase two will commence in March and will result in a music video to accompany the track they made.
